Alvaro Acevedo has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry. He has held a variety of IT and services roles within SWIFT Europe and the Americas, including leading the Platform and Technology Expert for Americas-UK region. Since January 2019 he started a new role as Product Owner of the API, leading the end-to-end life-cycle of SWIFT and community APIs from conception to deployment.
Alvaro is an avid advocate for quality software and new technologies as a catalyst for business innovation. With a background in software engineering and finance, Alvaro has proven expertise in helping customers flourish even in the most challenging and critical business environments.
He received a bachelor degree from the Computer Sciences College of Brussels and a post-graduate of software engineering from the Open University UK.
